October is a special time in downtown Corning, NY. The air is crisp, the leaves are turning vibrant shades of red and gold, and we’re turning the spotlight on some incredible women who are making history—right here in the Gaffer District!

Corning is not only a hot spot for tourists, but it's also a shop-local paradise, with over 200 small businesses sprinkled throughout our charming, historic streets. And here’s the kicker: over 80 of those businesses are owned or co-owned by women! That’s right—our vibrant downtown isn’t just beautiful; it’s a powerhouse of female entrepreneurship.
